We hit a major roadblock… unfortunately, the contracted builder left after only minor works having been completed, but taking a significant amount of money. He left unpaid subcontractor bills, 80% of the work to be done and the place in a mess. This was an incredibly challenging month which put the whole project in jeopardy. This is why we have a GoFundMe page and appreciate any donation to help us achieve our goal. Family, friends and a bucket full of resilience and hardwork meant the show could go on!

– The Beginning –
After 10 years teaching in a traditional school environment in the UK and Spain, Gemma begins working with local and Worldschool students based in the Costa Tropical, offering additional private maths classes in person and online. In her classes, a relaxed and fun environment is key to successful learning. As well as teaching around the living room table, she loves to use our gorgeous beaches, mountains, pueblos and rivers as her classroom to inspire and engage students, developing their love for learning. Since then, she has been linking fellow tutors in the community with parents in search of additional educational opportunities for their children in English, Science and Spanish. She has organised educational visits and learning experiences along the coast so these children can meet each other and begin to form friendships.
